Quarterly report Q3 2026 – 1,000 employment contracts and the launch of AI:spire

Connecting Jobs is an initiative that helps newly arrived immigrants and asylum seekers find their place in the Swedish labour market, while Swedish companies gain access to new employees with drive and skills. With support from the European Union through the asylum, migration and integration fund (AMIF), we work to create real job opportunities and build bridges between employers and candidates. With support from Länsstyrelsen, we provide asylum seekers with tools, coaching and guidance to prepare them to take the step into the Swedish labour market.

Connecting Jobs is the new name for the Ukrainian Professional Support Center, which was launched in May 2022. Connecting Jobs started in May 2022. Since then, we have made 1,016 employment contracts possible, 297 of them since the AMIF project began in April 2025.

In August we passed the milestone of 1,000 employment contracts, and in September we celebrated with cake at the office. Every contract is the result of collaboration between employers, candidates, the public sector and civil society.

The follow-up of the recruitment fair at Nordiska museet on 19 March is now complete. 1,782 candidates applied for the positions the employers advertised ahead of the fair. The employers submitted their requirement profiles in advance, which allowed us to select the 252 candidates who matched the requirements and invite them to the fair. 77 of them have signed 81 employment contracts. The next fair takes place on 17 February 2027, once again at Nordiska museet.

AI:spire is up and running

In September we launched AI:spire, our 12-week AI upskilling programme, in collaboration with Accenture, Microsoft and Tent Sverige. The 30 participants all have a technical background, with experience in Python, C# and JavaScript among other languages. During the programme they receive AI certification from Microsoft, hands-on AI practice, mentoring, a hackathon and an introduction to Swedish workplace culture.

100 to Work at Ambea

In September, 20 candidates met representatives from six Vardaga care facilities at a recruitment event within 100 to Work at Ambea. Eight of them are now moving forward in the recruitment process.

The same month, 29 Ukrainian women and men graduated as care assistants and also passed upper secondary Swedish. This is the second class from our collaboration, and anyone who wishes can now continue training to become an assistant nurse. The ceremony was held at Vardaga Saltsjöbadens sjukhus, where Ambea CEO Mark Jensen, Ukraine’s Ambassador Svitlana Zalishchuk and Member of Parliament Ardalan Shekarabi were among the guests.

Next quarter

In October we are holding two recruitment events together with Tent Sverige, in Gothenburg and Malmö. We are also continuing with more recruitment events in Stockholm within 100 to Work at Ambea.
