Do you and your family dream of a life close to nature? Would you like to live and work together in a beautiful Stockholm archipelago environment? If so, this may be your next great opportunity.
We are now looking for a dedicated and responsible couple who wish to make the archipelago not just their workplace, but their everyday life. We are hiring for two roles that complement each other, housekeeper and property caretaker on a private estate.
One of you thrives outdoors – taking responsibility for the operation and maintenance of buildings, land, and equipment. You make sure everything runs smoothly: docks and boats, fruit trees and lawns, tools and everyday repairs.
The other role is the heart of the home: creating structure, comfort, and a sense of care in daily life. Cooking, keeping the house in good condition, planning and preparing for the family’s stays, and ensuring everything flows smoothly, both when the house is quiet and when it is full of people. When needed, some assistance may also be required at the family’s home in the city.
What responsibilities are included in the roles?
Property caretaker responsibilities:
– Ongoing care and maintenance of land and buildings
– Basic repairs and general oversight
– Handling of machinery, tools, and materials
– Coordination with service partners and external suppliers
– Maintenance and winter storage of boats
– Harvesting and caring for fruits and berries from the garden
Housekeeper’s responsibilities:
– Cooking, laundry, and grocery shopping
– Planning and maintaining household routines
– Regular oversight of the home when the family is away
– Preparations before visits and occasional guest assistance
Together, you become the anchor that keeps the property thriving inside and out, all year round. You will be offered the opportunity to rent a residence located on the property, providing closeness to the workplace and flexibility in your daily work.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for you who has experience in service, household work, and property maintenance. You take responsibility, notice what needs to be done, and act on your own initiative. You are structured and flexible, and you enjoy workdays that vary in both pace and tasks. Professionalism, discretion, and respect for privacy are essential, as is a genuine appreciation for both people and nature. If you have a driver’s license (B), it is considered an advantage.
So, if you dream of a meaningful life where your work is varied and nature is always within reach, then this might be the place for you.
We look forward to your application.
